Privacy Policy
Effective April 25, 2026 · Last updated April 25, 2026
1. Who we are
WOVAE LLC (“WOVAE,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website at wovae.com. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We are the data controller for the personal information described below.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you join the waitlist, you give us your email address and, if you choose, your mobile phone number. If you contact us by email, we receive whatever you put in that message.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically receive technical information including your IP address, user agent (browser and device type), referring page, the pages you view, the actions you take, and timestamps. Some of this is collected through cookies and similar technologies (see Cookies below).
What we don’t collect. We don’t ask for your name, address, date of birth, or payment information at this stage — we are pre-launch and don’t process orders yet. When checkout opens, this Policy will be updated to describe order-related data and we’ll summarize what changed at the top of the page.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Send you the waitlist confirmation and tell you when pre-orders open, when new lab test results are published, and when we launch;
- Send you SMS launch alerts only if you provide your phone number, and only for the purposes you opted in to;
- Operate, secure, and improve the Site, including measuring traffic, debugging issues, and detecting abuse or fraud;
- Comply with our legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
4. Service providers we share data with
We share the minimum information necessary with vetted service providers that help us run the Site. They are bound by contract to use your data only on our instructions:
- Google Sheets (Google LLC) — to log waitlist signups (email, phone if provided, source page, IP, user agent, timestamp).
- Twilio (Twilio Inc.) — to deliver SMS notifications when you opt in with a phone number, and to notify our team that a new signup came in.
- Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) — to understand aggregate site usage. IP addresses are anonymized.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers — to serve the Site and route requests.
We may also disclose information if required by law, in response to a valid legal request, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or in connection with a corporate transaction such as a merger or acquisition.
5. Cookies, analytics, and tracking signals
We use cookies and similar technologies for two purposes: first, to make the Site work (for example, to remember your form state); second, for analytics through Google Analytics 4 so we can understand which pages people use. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies in their settings; the Site will still work, but some analytics features won’t.
Global Privacy Control (GPC). We honor the GPC signal as an opt-out of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information where applicable.
Do Not Track (DNT). We do not currently respond to other “Do Not Track” browser signals, because there is no industry consensus on how to interpret them. You can still limit tracking using your browser’s cookie controls, the GPC signal, or by opting out of analytics cookies through the providers listed in Section 4.
6. SMS program details
If you provide a mobile number, you consent to receive transactional and promotional text messages from WOVAE about your waitlist signup, pre-order availability, and launch. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help. Your phone number is shared only with our SMS provider (Twilio) for the purpose of delivering these messages. We don’t share mobile numbers with third parties for their marketing.
7. How long we keep your information
We keep waitlist signups until you ask us to remove them or until they’re no longer needed for the launch program, whichever comes first. Server and analytics logs are retained for a limited period needed to operate, secure, and improve the Site.
8. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to: access the personal information we hold about you; correct inaccurate information; delete your information; restrict or object to certain processing; receive a copy of your data in a portable format; and (if you’re in California) opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information — although, as noted above, we don’t sell or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected]. We’ll respond within the time required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
9. California residents
If you’re a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), gives you specific rights in addition to those in Section 8 above.
What we collect about you. In the past 12 months we have collected the following categories of personal information: identifiers (email address, mobile phone number if provided, IP address); internet or other electronic network activity (browser and device information, page interactions, referring URLs); and inferences drawn from the above (for example, that you’re interested in our launch). We collect this information directly from you (when you submit the waitlist form), automatically from your browser (cookies, server logs), and from our analytics provider.
Why we collect it. To run the waitlist and send pre-launch communications, to secure and improve the Site, and to comply with our legal obligations. We do not use any personal information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects about you.
No sale or sharing. We do not “sell” personal information for money, and we do not “share” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA. We honor the GPC signal as an opt-out of any future sale or sharing.
Sensitive personal information. We do not collect sensitive personal information as defined under the CCPA, and we do not use any personal information to infer characteristics about you.
California “Shine the Light.” Under California Civil Code §1798.83, California residents may request a notice describing what categories of personal information we share with third parties for those third parties’ own direct-marketing purposes. As stated above, we do not share personal information with third parties for their own marketing.
How to exercise California rights. Email us at [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before responding by confirming details about your interaction with us (for example, the email address you used to join the waitlist). You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information — including TLS in transit and access controls on our backend systems. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, however, and we can’t guarantee absolute security.
11. Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us their information, please contact us and we’ll delete it.
12. International users
WOVAE is based in the United States, and the infrastructure that powers the Site is operated primarily in the United States. If you visit the Site from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., where data-protection laws may differ from those of your country.
13. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll update the “Effective” date at the top and, where appropriate, give you additional notice (for example, an email if you’re on the waitlist).
14. Contact us
